Tuxedo Accessory Information for Students and Parents

All male band students will need to purchase the items below for their tux. The band provides the tuxedo jacket pants for all male students to wear. All male students are responsible for providing the following with the tux

• White Tuxedo Shirt
• Black Cummerbund
• Black Bow Tie
• Black Shoes (may wear marching shoes, however we prefer black dress shoes)
• Black Socks

All of these accessories can be found in stores like Men’s Wearhouse, JOS Bank, Tuxedo Junction, Als Formal Wear, and Culwell & Son however these stores can be expensive. HERE WE GO!  We are in full throttle and in 6th gear as we are officially in October and Contest Season!

MESQUITE CONTEST
If you haven't heard thus far, we participated in our first contest in Mesquite.  
Out of 30 competing bands, the Rowlett MEB placed 4th and received a "I" rating for the performance.
We are proud of the entire organization from the students and the parents who volunteered.

PLANO CONTEST 
Our next contest in Plano on Saturday, Oct 15, the band will participate in a prelims/finals format.
This is an all day affair.  More details later in the email.

All proceeds go back to the band.  $4 per ticket.

Ford Drive 4UR School Fundraiser

You’re invited to get behind the wheel of a new Ford vehicle. For every test-drive taken, Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the Mighty Eagle Band, for a total of up to $6,000. The more people that drive, the more we earn, So spread the word!!

Drive 4 UR School began in 2007 as a way for Ford to give back to communities across the country. The idea was simple: Test-drive a Ford vehicle from a local dealership, get money for your high school. The success of the school program inspired the launch of Drive 4 UR Community, allowing Ford Dealers to partner with nonprofit organizations as well. Thousands of events and $30 million in donations later, participants are still test-driving for a cause that they - and Ford - are equally passionate about.

The Rowlett Band will be participating in this fundraiser on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Rowlett High School. We need student helpers for this event. If you can help, please sign up for one of our two shifts from 9am to Noon or Noon to 3pm.
