SECURITY DIRECTIVE
Due to security protocol and directives, GISD Security and
RHS Administration has requested that band student drop off will need to
occur from the back of campus.
Students will then present their PINK BAND PASS to proceed to the
band room for instrument/equipment drop-off.
We have been asked to keep the exterior band room door only as an
exit.
Thus please do not drop off at the band room.
REGION AUDITIONS - Saturday, Dec 5 @ Berkner HS
Student times have been posted today after school on our
marker board. We will remind the students to take a picture of their
respective times.
Also please turn-in the $13 at your earliest convenience.
FORMAL CONCERT ATTIRE
The school provides our male band students a tuxedo with the exception
of a TUXEDO SHIRT (we were suddenly aware of this).
Thus we ask that the boys purchase their own tuxedo shirt.
Due to late notice, a white collared shirt will suffice for this concert
as well.
I have provided a link for an inexpensive tuxedo shirt from Hobby
Lobby as an option.
Friendly reminder for our band girls especially freshman -
please purchase an ALL-BLACK Suit for our concerts. (skirt - knee length
or below; pants will suffice as well).
CONCERT!! - Thursday, December 10 @ 7:00 pm
Come support and enjoy the Sounds of Winter with our concert bands
and jazz band.
In preparation of this concert, we have asked for our Wind
Symphony and Honors Band to rehearse after school because the percussion have
not had an opportunities to practice with the wind players during the
school day. Our Symphonic Band and Concert Band have had multiple
rehearsals with the percussion during their respective class period. The
students have worked hard for this concert and we believe it will send you off
in the happiest spirit of the holidays.

IN CLOSING
We want to thank ALL of the parents who contribute to the
efforts in helping support the band program. From all the
paperwork, wet towels, food, water, chaperones, wet bleachers, and
countless other responsibilities, there are SO MANY "unsung
heroes" who helped this Fall Marching Season - the sacrifices of time and
travel - GOING BEYOND CALL OF DUTY!!
On behalf of all the students and staff, we sincerely appreciate
your investment towards the MEB! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
